Mirror Wills: one decision, two people

A Mirror Will is two near-identical wills, one for each spouse, that leave assets to each other first, and then to shared beneficiaries such as children, parents, or chosen charities. It is the natural choice for couples whose plans for the future are already aligned.

It is the most popular option for married couples in the UAE because it is meaningfully cheaper than two separate single wills, and it removes contradictions. When both documents are written together, there is no risk of one spouse naming a guardian the other did not agree to, or of executors that do not match.
